Barbadian Singer, JAICKO, did an interview earlier this month with JANET and NICK on KISS 98.5.
The singer talked about his album, “CAN I” and what it was like to spend his Christmas with international Superstar, RIHANNA, also an artist from the beautiful island of Barbados.
He also talked about the “20 Things you should know about JAICKO“, his love for JORDANS (sneakers) and being TAYLOR SWIFT‘s biggest fan.

JAICKO BLOG: Talks ALBUM RELEASE DATE !!!!
Just a few hours ago JAICKO posted this blog from his hotel room in Toronto to keep his fans up-to-date with everything he has been doing!
He talks about touring with several artists including SEAN KINGSTON, JAY SEAN, SHONTELLE & IYAZ and thanks everyone for their continued support!
His album “CAN I” is about to drop on JUNE 1ST so he’s been really busy in and out of the studio.

Q – In your bio you say that when you first grew out your hair you knew music would become your life. If Barbados was strict on dress code, why did you decide to grow your hair out?
A – My dad had long hair – I thought it was cool and I felt like it represented who I am. I didn’t want compromise myself and conform and therefore I stood my ground and was expelled.
Q – What was it about music that made you want to pursue it?
A – Music is my life. There was never a moment I decided to pursue it because for as long as I remember I was making music and then it became my career.
Q – Real quick, describe your music for those who know little about you?
A – Caribbean infused pop.
Q – Who were your influences in music?
A – Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, and Stevie Wonder – all time greatest!
Q – How do you go about incorporating influences in your work while at the same time maintaining individuality?
A – When I listen to my musical heroes they inspire ideas – I never set out to recreate what they did because it is untouchable.
